Madhavan - II (Special Moments)

This is one of his earlier pics when he was still acting on the small screen.

Here are a few special lines. Special, because these were the answers he gave for questions which my sister and I asked him while chatting.

This is from the first chat we had, in his fanclub on yahoo groups, on his birthday, in 2002, if I remember right. It was a voice chat. We wished him Happy Birthday of course.

Me: What was your first shot for Alaipayuthey?
Madhavan: (He had answered it but since we couldn't hear him initially, he typed it out again for us :) )
It was the scene post interval, when I meet Shakti's mom

Me: Advance Happy Anniversary to you and Sarita! (The other members followed suit)
Madhavan: Thanks for all those who wished us Happy Anniversary

Me: Have a good time with your family (He had said that he was going out with his family after the chat)
Madhavan: Yeah, I will, Thanks.

That's all that we said, but for the most part of the time, we were listening to what he was saying. In between, Sarita spoke as well. This chat is a rare one. It hasn't happened in our fanclub again.

Then, there were a lot of chats on Sify, but these were't so personal, since he didn't even type the answers himself. Someone else typed out his answers. But still, here are a few questions from those.

Me: Which is your most favourite scene in Kannathil Muthamittal(KM)?
Madhavan: The scene where Thiru tells Keerthana the truth about her mother

Me: How did it feel while shooting for the scene in KM where Simran, Keerthana, Suraj and Chetan were on top of you?
Madhavan: It was a breathtaking experience!

Me: Is it true that you are called Balaji at home?
Madhavan: Yes, that's true.

Me: Hello Madhavan Congratulations to you and Sarita for you will soon be Father and Mother.
Madhavan:
Yup, thanks a lot

Me:
Madhavan, in the launch of Mani Ratnam's dvds at Landmark, you recited those lines from Iruvar really well. How many times did you practise it?
Madhavan: About 10,000 times

Me: Do you know anything about the next Mani Ratnam film? It would be great if you again act in it.
Madhavan: I think only he knows. I would love to be a part of his project again.

Me: How was it working with Aamir Khan for Rang De Basanti?
Madhavan: Out of the world.

Me: I read about your interest in aero modelling in an interview. Tell me more about it.
Madhavan: I am still learning, will tell you when I figure it out.

Me: Which is your favourite scene in Aayitha Ezhuthu?
Madhavan: Where I kill my brother.

Me: How would you describe your last five years' experience in a sentence?
Madhavan: Fantastically dynamic.

Madhavan - I

This entire post is going to be about him. I could write pages about R.Madhavan (a) Maddy (a) Balaji (Guess many people don't know that that's his nick at home). But here, let me just give an overview of the level of my craziness for him.

It started at the time of the release of Madhavan's first Tamil movie 'Alaipayuthey'. I haven't found out the reason as yet as to why I like the movie so much or why Madhavan attracted me at that time. I'm not like the usual kind of fan of an actor who sticks posters on the walls or watches his movies on the first day in the theatre or buys all his movies' cds just because he acted in it. I like him for his personality, his principles, his looks and of course for his acting.

I have been lucky enough to see him once and get an autograph. It was during the audio release of 'Kannathil Muthamittal'. I still remember the day. It was the 14th of January, 2002. He came in blue jeans and a blue shirt with cool blue sunglasses, along with Simran and Keerthana. When he was about to leave, I got an autograph from him. That's one of my most valued possessions.

The Second Day

I'm back. Into my second day of blogging. I wasn't keen to write again today, considering the fact that it was an extraordinarily long, tiring day. But my sister reminded me of the significance of 'The Second Day'. It's believed that when you start something new on a particular day, you're supposed to do it the next day as well. Well.. Do I really believe in this? These are among the things which I don't want to think too much about and rather follow them. I think it's a fairly simple thing. Start something new today. Do it the next day also. I don't see any problem. That's it. This post is just for the heck of it.

Hello..

So finally, here I begin blogging. I was always hesitant to start blogging. I was worried about what other people might think about what I write. But a greater worry was this. What do I write about? Writing has never been my passion. I have 'written' only those answers and essays for English exams at school. I remember only one instance when I won an essay competition at school, way back in 7th std. But I don't think I write very well. I might be able to write grammatically correct English with the right spellings to a certain extent but my vocabulary isn't something I can boast of. Ok coming back to why I have finally started blogging. Right now, we have a course at college called 'Introduction to Western classics'. Did that enthuse me to start blogging? Maybe. Well, here begins my stream of confused thoughts and I hope that, as I go along, I make some sense out of these. Signing off for now..
